Borrego Springs Unified School District is proud to announce the installation of photovoltaic systems across three of our school sites. These systems, with a combined capacity of 321 kW, are projected to save the district thousands annually on electricity costs, allowing us to direct more resources toward our core mission: educating our students.
In addition to these financial benefits, the photovoltaic systems significantly reduce our environmental impact by offsetting between 200 and 400 tons of carbon dioxide each year – equivalent to taking 80 cars off the road annually. By adopting solar energy, the district is not only insulating itself from future utility rate increases but is also leading by example in environmental stewardship. This initiative underscores our commitment to creating a sustainable future for our students and community.
