Board Meeting Statement
In accordance with state open meeting laws (Brown Act), meetings of the Board of Trustees are conducted for the purpose of accomplishing district business in public.
To encourage community involvement in the schools, Board meetings provide opportunities for questions and comments by members of the public. If a member of the public wishes to address the Board, they must complete the "COMMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC" form available at the sign-in table upon entering the Board Room. Once it is completed it must be submitted to the assistant to the superintendent at the front of the room prior to the start of the board meeting. A maximum of three (3) minutes is permitted. No action may be taken on an item raised by the public unless the item is on the agenda. All meetings shall be conducted in accordance with law and the Board's bylaws, policies, and administrative regulations.
