To the wonderful community of Borrego Springs,
As we begin the 2025–26 school year, I am filled with pride and gratitude for the opportunity to continue serving as your Superintendent of Schools. This is more than just a district—it is a family, and it has been a blessing for me and my own family to be part of Borrego Springs Unified for so many years.
Last year, our students and staff worked hard and we saw improvements in student achievement, particularly in math and ELA/Literacy. These gains reflect the dedication of our teachers, the perseverance of our students, and the unwavering support of our families and community. This year, we are committed to building on that progress. Improving test scores and raising academic excellence for every student will remain a focus of our work.
We are also proud of the expansion of our Career Technical Education (CTE) programs at Borrego Springs High School. These opportunities help students gain valuable skills, explore career pathways, and prepare for success in both college and the workforce. By combining strong academics with hands-on, real-world experiences, we are equipping our students with the tools they need for a bright future.
Above all, our students remain our top priority. Together—with the dedication of our staff, the involvement of our families, and the help of our community—we will continue to nurture, challenge, and inspire the young people of Borrego Springs.
Here’s to a year of learning, growth, and success for all!
Sincerely,
Dr, Mark Stevens
Superintendent
