FAQs

Why can I not apply for the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) after February 7, 2024?
Due to a lack of additional funding from Congress, the ACP stopped accepting new applications as of February 7, 2024. The last fully funded month of the program is April 2024.

When will my ACP benefit end?
If you applied for the ACP and signed up with an internet company prior to February 7, 2024, then you will continue to receive your benefit for now. The last fully funded month of the program is April 2024. Your internet company will let you know when the discount on your monthly bill will end.

What if I applied for the ACP benefit before February 7, 2024, and am waiting to hear back about my application?
As of February 7, applications are no longer being processed. You may qualify for Lifeline, which is another FCC program that offers an internet discount. Learn more at LifelineSupport.org.

How do I sign up for the program?

The Affordable Connectivity Program is not accepting new applications or enrollments as of February 7, 2024. Consumers who currently participate in the program are expected to continue to receive their full ACP benefit until the program ends.

Consumers who qualified for the ACP benefit may be eligible for another Federal Communications Commission program called Lifeline, where qualified consumers can get up to $9.25 off the cost of phone, internet, or bundled services (up to $34.25 if they live on qualifying Tribal lands).
